Scottie Scheffler is the talk of the town right now at the PGA Championship in Valhalla. Not for his amazing day on the course, but instead, for the bizarre incident that took place early Friday morning. Competitor Collin Morikawa was asked about what's transpired and he shared his opinion on the entire situation.

Morikawa took the lead at Valhalla after sinking five birdies in a row. He still has several holes to play as of this publishing, but Collin Morikawa is in line to either be in the lead or tied for the lead by the end of the day. Here he is sinking his fifth birdie in a row.

Even so, the news from early Friday morning is dominating the news cycle. Scottie Scheffler was arrested and still played the course. Meanwhile, a fatal accident took a man's life, which was why police were at the entrance of Valhalla in the first place.

Collin Morikawa believes more attention should be on the man who tragically passed away, according to Pat Forde of Sports Illustrated. Sports fans were mainly focused on Scottie Scheffler's tee time. However, the death of a man is what should be the top news.

“Collin Morikawa on the fatality outside Valhalla this morning: ‘I don't think that's being talked about enough. Or at all.'”

The man killed in the fatal accident was named John Mills, per Terry Meiners of NewsRadio 840 WHAS. Mills was working security at Valhalla for the PGA Championship.

Morikawa is still in contention and is in a heated contest with Xander Schauffele. But he looks great so far and could be in line another major win. He has two in his career and another would keep him ranked as one of the best golfers in the world right now.

He's currently in second place with a -11. There is still plenty of time left for Collin Morikawa to catch up to Schauffele. But if Schauffele can pull away with a big day on Friday then it'll be difficult for Morikawa to get back in the lead.

Make sure to continue tuning into the PGA Championship as Valhalla is looking like a fun contest so far.
