The Detroit Pistons provided positive health updates on Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose on Thursday.

However, both stars are still out for Friday's game against the Indiana Pacers:

Griffin hasn’t played this season due to lingering issues with his knee and a sore hamstring, while Rose has missed the last three games with a hamstring strain.

The Pistons are 4-5 on the season. They have already defeated the Pacers twice.

Griffin appeared in 75 games last season for the Pistons. He averaged 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists while shooting 46.2 percent from the field, 36.2 percent from beyond the arc and 75.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Pistons made the playoffs last season for the first time since 2016 due to Griffin’s stellar play. However, Detroit got swept by the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round. Griffin only played in Games 3 and 4 due to his knee injury and underwent surgery after the postseason ended.

Pistons fans are anxious to see Griffin back in the lineup, but it’s still unclear when that date will arrive.

Rose is putting up 20.8 points, 1.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists on the season. The former MVP is shooting 56.2 percent from the field and 88.9 percent from the free-throw line.

As of Thursday, Detroit is in the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
