LiAngelo Ball is not your ordinary NBA player signed to a non-guaranteed deal. Though he has to fight for a spot in the roster, the city of Detroit has already shown some love to Ball by way of a billboard.
Last week, the Pistons inked Ball to a non-guaranteed deal. This means that Ball is part of the team's training camp roster. Whether or not he ends up on the regular-season roster is dependent on his performance and the Pistons' needs. Tons of aspirants are under such deals. But Ball is special because the city is cheering him on. Well, the city or a possibly rabid fan.

So far, LiAngelo Ball seems to be doing good in training camp, earning praises from head coach Dwane Casey and teammate as well as undrafted forward Anthony Lamb. It's definitely not a guarantee that Ball will indeed make the roster. But it definitely means a lot to be praised by your head coach.

2020 marks the year that LaVar Ball fulfilled his dream of having his sons in the NBA. Lonzo has been doing well with the New Orleans Pelicans thus far. His games with Zion Williamson show the makings of a powerful guard-forward duo. Many are excited about what they can accomplish this season.
All eyes are locked on LaMelo, the third overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft. Those who have followed his stint in Chino Hills and abroad certainly know about the kid's elite vision and passing skills. It would be interesting to find out how he fares against advanced defenses in the NBA.
