There were some reports of longtime star linebacker Von Miller being let go from the Denver Broncos. Perhaps the Las Vegas Raiders are interested in their nemesis.

Portland Trail Blazers star point guard Damian Lillard is doing his part to bring the talented linebacker to his favorite team, the Raiders.

Lillard is from Oakland, which is where the Raiders used to play their home games before making the move to Vegas in 2020. Despite the move, Lillard has been advocating for the Raiders to sign some of the top names available, including his recent pitch for San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman.

A report came out that Miller might have his option declined with the Broncos after missing the entire 2020 season with an ankle injury. After that, Benjamin Albright came out and said that no decision regarding Miller's future has been made.

That didn't stop Lillard from taking his thoughts to social media with the possibility of a player like Miller being available. The Raiders could use some help on defense and new defensive coordinator Gus Bradley would be thrilled to bring a player of his caliber on board. Miller probably wouldn't mind staying in the AFC West either.

Lillard has been one of the Raiders' biggest supporters throughout his career and hopes they can turn it around quickly after a disappointing 8-8 record on the season, their first year in Las Vegas.

Whether Miller actually hits the open market or not remains to be seen. However, if he does test free agency he will have his fair share of suitors calling for his services and Lillard might have to talk him into joining the Raiders.
