In what has been a chaotic season for the Las Vegas Raiders, Davante Adams has been more than a bright spot on offense. As the Raiders closed out their season against the Denver Broncos in Week 18, Adams etched his name in the NFL record books.

Adams recorded his 100th catch and went over 1,000 receiving yards for the season against the Broncos. He became just the fourth wide receiver in NFL history to record 10+ receptions and 1,000+ receiving yards in fourth straight season, the team announces. Adams' new elite group features Antonio Brown – who did it six years in a row – Stefon Diggs and Marvin Harrison.

Las Vegas went through a franchise upheaval when they fired head coach Josh McDaniels. Antonio Pierce rebuilt the Raiders' culture and had Vegas competing in every game. A win against the Broncos would see Vegas end their season with an 8-9 record. A victory would also mean that Pierce lead the team to a record above .500 as the interim head coach.

But whether the season was going good or bad, Adams was a constant success for the Raiders. Heading into Week 18, the wide receiver had 98 receptions for 1,098 yards and seven touchdowns. He leads the team in receptions and yardage and is tied with Jakobi Myers for the team lead in touchdown receptions.

Davante Adams is sure to see his name come up in trade rumors throughout the offseason. But if the Raiders retain him, he will continue to be an elite passing option for whoever is playing quarterback. Even in a losing season, Adams is still making history.
