Jon Gruden is all set to open a new chapter in the history of the Raiders. As reported by Vincent Bonsignore, the Las Vegas Raiders head coach will be going to the team’s new office in Henderson starting next week. The city is located 16 miles away from Las Vegas.

Gruden will be one of the coaches to be physically present at an NFL team facility ever since the league mandated all key personnel to work remotely to avoid the spread of COVID-19. The NFL relaxed those restrictions on June 5th in a resolution allowing their physical presence as long as local safety regulations were met.

It will not be the first time for Gruden to visit Henderson. Last August, Gruden reportedly purchased a house in the area just next to Derek Carr’s property. Derek’s brother, David, joked in an interview with NFL Network that the Raiders’ coach and quarterback will share a ride once the season gets underway. Henderson is roughly an 18-minute drive from Allegiant Stadium, the Raiders’ new home.

Las Vegas is just as excited for the Raiders’ arrival, with ticket prices soaring at around 527% in the secondary market. It was also recently announced that the 2021 Pro Bowl will take place at Allegiant Stadium.

As it stands right now, the Raiders will open their new home on September 21 when they go head to head against Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.

Vegas currently lists its NFL team to win seven games in the 2020 season.
