The Las Vegas Raiders will take on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday and the Dolphins will not have starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as he deals with a rib injury. As for the Raiders, they have been searching for the official status of running back Josh Jacobs, who missed the Week 2 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to Field Yates of ESPN, Jacobs is officially listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, and that doesn't sound too promising for his hopes of playing in the game.
If Jacobs can't go again, it will be the Kenyan Drake show mixed in with a little bit of Peyton Barber. The Raiders' combination was enough to get the job done, but Jacobs had a two-touchdown performance in the opening game against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football.
But, it is still a big blow to the Raiders offense, as the dynamic of Barber and Drake drastically changes the style of the offense. The good news is that the Raiders should win since Tua won't be playing and the Dolphins will be starting Jacoby Brissett.
More details to come, but a doubtful designation is certainly not what the Jon Gruden's team wanted to hear.
