The Oakland Raiders will play their second preseason game on Saturday and according to Adam Schefter of ESPN Khalil Mack won't be present.

That means he will be fined another $814,000 which brings his total fine up to over $1.6 million. According to Schefter the two sides also aren't close to a deal, and there is no end in sight. It's interesting this news is coming out now because just yesterday coach Jon Gruden said him missing training camp wasn't a distraction, but now this is all that will be talked about leading up to coming up to the game.

“I don’t think it’s been a distraction,” Raiders coach Jon Gruden said, via Paul Gutierrez of ESPN. “It’s obviously, for me, been disappointing. You want to have your best player here. This guy is really a great guy, too. I’m disappointed we don’t have him here. Going to try to get him here as soon as we can. In the time being, you’ve got to move on. You’ve got to get up and go to work. That’s one thing I’m very proud of what we’ve done here.”

It still appears that the two sides haven't talked and Mack doesn't seem to be backing down from the fact he wants a new contract.

The one big sticking point between the two sides is that the Raiders don't have a ton of cap space left so offering him a new contract and a signing bonus right now is going to be very tough unless some players restructure.
