Aaron Donald has quickly become one of the most decorated defenders in the history of the NFL.

The Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle has made the Pro Bowl every season since being selected with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He's been named First Team All-Pro four consecutive times. He won Defensive Rookie of the Year during his debut season, and in 2018 won his second straight Defensive Player of the Year award, joining New York Giants legend Lawrence Taylor and Houston Texans superstar J.J. Watt as the only players to ever accomplish that feat.

Making his long list of accolades even more impressive? Donald is still just 28, right in the thick of his prime, and all signs suggest he's indeed getting better. He led the NFL with 20.5 sacks and 25 tackles for loss last season, both career-highs by a significant margin.

It goes without saying that Aaron Donald will earn more recognition going forward for his utterly dominant individual performance. But with his trophy case already full, the Rams superstar insists his focus is solely on helping his team get back to the Super Bowl rather than winning Defensive Player of the Year for an unprecedented third straight season.

“I’m just playing football. If it happens, it happens,” he said of another DPOY award, per Rams PR. “My main goal is trying to win the Super Bowl so I’m trying to give everything I can to make myself a better football player so that I can do more so that we can win.”

Los Angeles went 13-3 last season, advancing to Super Bowl LIII after a stunning overtime win over the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship Game, where it lost to the New England Patriots.
