Los Angeles Rams offensive tackle Aaron Donald couldn't care less about what Tom Brady achieved during the 2021 regular season or even throughout his career.

As the Rams gear up for their divisional round showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Donald made sure to remind Brady and everyone else that the regular season and past achievements don't matter that much in the postseason.

“It’s a new year. Respect what he did in the past, but it’s a whole new year,” Donald said of Brady and the Buccaneers, per LA Times.

The Buccaneers are the reigning Super Bowl champions, so it's no wonder why a lot of people see them as favorites heading to the divisional showdown. Not to mention that Tom Brady is still as great as ever and leading the way for Tampa Bay.

As everybody knows, you just don't bet against TB12.

However, as Aaron Donald said, what only matters in the playoffs is the present and how the Rams execute. Sure, accolades are major confidence-boosters, but it can only go so far.

It is also worth noting that the Rams are not playing against Brady alone. It's a team sport and while the 44-year-old QB knows what it takes to win at the highest level, anything can still happen in the sport.

Rams signal-caller Matthew Stafford echoed the sentiment following their huge victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Monday, noting that it's not a one-on-one battle when asked about facing Brady.

“I’m not playing against him, you know one-on-one, but I understand that he’s a great player and he’s going to get his team in the end zone so I’ve got to do my part as well,” Stafford said, according Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.

By the looks of it, the Rams are nowhere near concerned that they'll be playing the champions. Instead, it seems more like they are embracing the challenge.
