The NFL may have to proceed with conducting games in the 2020 NFL season without fans, to the dismay of players around the league. Aaron Donald, the All-Pro defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams, seems to be against the idea of playing with no fans in 2020, per the Associated Press' Greg Beacham.

As someone who's played football collegiately and in the NFL, Donald is accustomed to playing in front of thousands of people. However, that could be subject to change in the upcoming season due to the coronavirus pandemic.

At the moment, the NFL plans to begin the 2020 NFL season as scheduled. While the league doesn't want to postpone or cancel the season, it may be inclined to make some alterations. And in Los Angeles, the city the Rams call home, large gatherings of spectators, such as at sporting events, could be off the table until 2021.

Around the globe, there are still guidelines that need to be followed amid the coronavirus pandemic. That includes making sure everyone is social distancing and staying away from large crowds. Provided that, the NFL will need to take the necessary precautions to assure everyone's safety in the league.

Of course, a player like Donald thrives on having fans screaming and shouting while he and the Rams defense are pursuing opposing quarterbacks. Without a doubt, every player in the league is likely going to have to adjust to playing games with no fans or limited crowds.

There are likely more players around the league who feel the same way as Donald in terms of playing games without fans in attendance. However, Donald has to realize that playing with no fans is probably the only way the 2020 season is able to be conducted safely.

Though, it would be tough being the guy that has to break the news to Donald.
