There has been a whole of talk about Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley lately, and not for the usual reasons.

Normally, we talk about Gurley because he just lit up someone's defense or set some kind of record, but this past week, we have been discussing him because of his struggles during the NFC Championship Game against the New Orleans Saints.

However, fellow Los Angeles running back C.J. Anderson, who has been a revelation since joining the team late in the season, expects Gurley to rebound against the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl:

“I think he's going to bounce back,” said Anderson, according to Clarence Dennis of the Rams' official team website. “I mean, he's not the best back in the game for no reason.”

The Rams ended up beating the Saints in an overtime thriller to advance to the Super Bowl, but it wasn't because of Gurley's excellence. He rushed for just 10 yards on four carries and saw a pass from Jared Goff uncharacteristically bounce off of his hands and into the arms of Saints linebacker Demario Davis in the first quarter.

It's worth noting that Gurley injured his knee during a Week 15 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and sat out the final two games of the regular season as a result. He was also limited in practice leading up to the Rams' Divisional Round matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, but he ended up gashing the Cowboys' defense for 115 yards and a touchdown, so his knee looked fine that night.
