The Los Angeles Rams selected Cooper Kupp in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Since then, he has quickly developed into one of the bigger stars at the wide receiver position.

2019 was his best year so far, and the 27-year-old could have even bigger seasons in his future.

Will those seasons come with the Rams though? According to Stu Jackson of the the Rams's official site, Kupp has some thoughts about his contract extension talks with the team.

In 2019, Kupp racked up a career-high 94 receptions for career-highs in receiving yards (1,161) and receiving touchdowns (10).

However, 2020 is the last year on his current rookie contract. Due to that, if the Rams want to keep the star wide receiver on their team, they may need to work out a contract extension with him soon.

Kupp expressed love for the team while not hurting his agent in contract talks. It's not like he said he doesn't want to play for anyone else and it's not like he won't have offers in the Rams don't give him the contract for which he's looking.

Kupp would likely be pursued heavily by almost every team in the NFL. Los Angeles still has incentive to get a contract done that the wide receiver loves. Knowing that he actually wants to play for the franchise this much is only going to make them want to keep him even more.

Los Angeles hit a home run when they drafted Kupp in the third round back in 2017. It would be a shame if the marriage ended this quickly because they couldn't get a contract extension worked out.

The good news is, it sounds like both sides really want to make things work.
