After Reggie Bush tore his ACL slipping on the concrete in 2015 at the Edward Jones Dome he sued St. Louis Rams, St. Louis Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority and the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission.

According to the St. Louis-Post Dispatch, the judge presiding over the case has dropped the case against the latter two, so now it's just the Rams that will be on the hook if Bush wins the case.

“There was no evidence that showed the RSA or the CVC had exclusive control of the premises,” said Debbie Champion, lawyer for the RSA and the CVC. “Even the evidence the Rams put on, was that there was joint control of the dome on game days by the CVC and the Rams. Well, the law requires that there be exclusive control of the city in order to make a claim.”

The trial will heat back up on Monday, with the case expecting to wrap up sometime this week. The case revolves around if the injury caused Bush to lose money because he wasn't able to sign bigger and more lucrative contracts after the injury.

After coming back from the ACL injury, Bush signed and played one year with the Buffalo Bills before hanging up the cleats and retiring from the NFL.

ACL injuries are part of football, but this one could have easily been prevented. Bush slipped on a piece of concrete that was exposed, and only a few weeks after Bush's injury, the concrete was covered up.
