The fact that they did is just a testament to who they are as people and who they are as fans. You play in a Midwest city, you know the deal. They live and die with those guys, the players, and to have that support all the way across the country here playing in this game means the world to me, my wife and my family.”
Matthew Stafford said that the support he received from Lions fans in the Super Bowl “meant the world” to him and his family. As the Rams quarterback said, the fans really had no allegiance to him anymore, but they still cheered for him as if he was still wearing Lions threads.
It's a testament to the impact that Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford left on the franchise, but also a testament to the character of Lions fans.
