Los Angeles Rams wideout Robert Woods missed last week due to a personal matter. It's something private and probably something he won't discuss for some time either. However, he is very thankful to the Rams organization for giving him support during that time.

“I just appreciate the Rams organization allowing me to deal with my family matters, allowing me to keep this personal,” Woods said per Kevin Modesti of the Los Angeles Daily News. “[It] felt good to be back out there, being back with the guys and the team. I’m just taking it day by day, working towards being prepared for Monday night.”

The 27-year-old receiver says that he's also “taking it a day at a time,” and that, “football is my job. My family is over my job.”

The Rams did miss his production in the Sunday Night Football game against the Chicago Bears in their 17-7 win. However, they will get him for this week's Monday Night Football matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. And head coach Sean McVay and the rest of the team are excited to have him back.

“The family stuff always comes first — that’s our priority. That’s what he’s taking care of and we’ll worry about the football stuff a little bit later. Because of what a savvy player, his experience, how smart he is, I do think he’s one of the guys that does have the ability to play on a short week. But, you certainly don’t want to minimize the importance of the preparation throughout the week.”

After his absence, Woods is back in practice and will likely make his return in their big Week 12 showdown against the Baltimore Ravens as they look to get back into the playoff picture.
