The fans of the Los Angeles Rams became silent when Aaron Donald left Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. Donald returned to the game, but he has been limited in practice this week. Despite his questionable status, Sean McVay has made it clear that Donald will play in Week 3.

“He’s playing,” McVay told reporters Friday. “It’s a ‘questionable’ because really, we’re smart with him. He didn’t do some things, but unless something really unforeseen happens, this guy is going on Sunday night.”

The All-Pro defensive tackle played in 50 of the 63 possible snaps in Week 2. Due to his back injury, McVay and the coaching staff took a cautious approach with the NFL's best defensive player this week.

The Rams have gotten off to a 2-0 start to begin the season, but Donald has yet to record a sack. By looking at the box score, it seems as if Donald is struggling to make his mark, but he is doing more than the stats are telling.

Over the first two games, the Carolina Panthers and Saints have deployed two or three offensive linemen on Donald. Therefore, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year allows the other defenders to get more opportunities to make plays in the backfield.

This week, Donald seems to be on track to suit up against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday Night Football. The Browns have allowed eight sacks in the first two weeks of the season (fifth-most in the NFL).

To the dismay of Baker Mayfield, Donald has a decent chance of wreaking havoc in Week 3 and getting his first sack of the season.
