Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay has some extra time on his hands with the offseason in full swing and the restrictions that have been placed by the NFL in response to the coronavirus pandemic. It appears even he has fallen trap to the pop culture phenomenon known as the “Tiger King” on Netflix.

The show has taken social media by storm through the scandalous stories of exotic pet owners. The Rams' coach said during an appearance on “The John Roa Show,” that he has also done his fair share of binge watching lately:

“I’ve got to admit, I did watch ‘Tiger King.’ It was one of those deals where it was so bad I couldn’t stop watching it,” McVay said. “I had to see what’s all this fuss about with Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin and Doctor Antle. It was a crazy documentary. It was crazy.”

The head coach of the Rams added that he has also started HBO's “Game of Thrones” and is still getting accustomed to how quickly the main characters can be taken out.

“The one thing they don’t have any problem with, I feel like the characters I’ve enjoyed the most from Season 1, they’re chopping people’s heads off, they’re killing them when they get into a fight,” he said.

It is certainly encouraging to see that McVay has been able to unwind from the grind of the offseason. The fact that he is vulnerable to the intrigue of such popular shows is indicative how much free time he has ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft for the Rams.

McVay's biggest challenge heading into the 2020 NFL season is that the Rams do not generate attention for any undesirable reasons like “Tiger King” has. Much like season 8 of “Game of Thrones,” this team fell vastly short of expectations during the 2019 campaign by missing the playoffs with a 9-7 record.
