Longtime wide receiver Torry Holt believes that a Super Bowl win for Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford next week would take the passer's legacy to “another level.”

The former Rams wideout recently took some time to speak on the NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” program, where he lauded Stafford’s play in the ongoing playoffs and noted that a win for the veteran passer over the Cincinnati Bengals would bolster his legacy.

“Anytime you win a Super Bowl, it impacts everybody's legacy,” Holt said. “You go to a whole another level. Everybody doesn't win a Super Bowl, it is hard to do.

“For Matthew Stafford, as good as he was in Detroit, and then to come to Los Angeles and to play at the level he's played, he started out great. He had a little rough moment there in November, and then down the stretch, he has been fantastic.

“If he wins the Super Bowl [with] the LA Rams, his legacy changes forever… He now really goes to the next echelon when you start putting Super Bowls behind your name.”

Stafford sure has made the most out of his first deep run in the NFL playoffs so far. He led the Rams to a trio of wins in the NFC playoffs, which included six passing touchdowns and a 115.6 passer rating posted. Whether it has been with Cooper Kupp or Odell Beckham Jr., he has formed keen chemistry with his top wideout threats over the past month.

At this rate, Stafford is well on pace to finish his career in the top 10 in a multitude of passing categories, from passing yards to touchdown passes. If he can take down the Bengals in Super Bowl 56 next week, it sure would bolster his odds of one day being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
