Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee suffered what is being categorized as a chest injury on Sunday afternoon against the New Orleans Saints. As a result of the injury, Higbee was forced to miss the rest of the massive NFC clash, which ultimately became a convincing 27-9 win for the Rams over the Saints.

It has yet to be reported how serious this setback is. It remains to be seen whether Higbee will be lost for longer than the remainder of Sunday afternoon's contest in Los Angeles.

Prior to leaving his team's Week 2 win over the Saints, Higbee registered two catches for a total of 21 yards. His day was highlighted by an 18-yard reception that originally came out of the hand of Rams quarterback Jared Goff, who finished the day with 283 passing yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Goff also completed 19 of his 28 passing attempts.

It is also worth noting that the Rams did receive a little help from the “football gods” on Sunday afternoon as the Saints played the majority of the outing without future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees. With former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater leading the way for New Orleans against the Rams, Brees was lost for the game early on due to a thumb injury that disallowed him from gripping the football.

In the absence of Brees, the Saints just couldn't get anything going on offense, which allowed the Rams to improve to 2-0 even without Higbee in the fold.
