The Los Angeles Rams swung for the fences when they acquired star defender and former Super Bowl MVP Von Miller from the Denver Broncos at the midway point in the season. The move worked, as the Rams secured a victory in Super Bowl 56, thanks in part to the efforts of Miller. According to a recent report from Sports Illustrated and Broncos Wire of USA Today, the Miller-Rams partnership may have been a few years in the making.

Shots were had, along with quite a night. At one point, Miller turned to McVay and said something he never expected would come true.

“Come get me.”

Rams head coach Sean McVay and then-Broncos linebacker Von Miller shared some adult beverages and enjoyed quite a night, according to Sports Illustrated. Miller, perhaps jokingly, told McVay to “come get him.”

It's funny to imagine a drunken Von Miller telling Sean McVay to come get him, to the bewilderment of the Rams head coach. Little did Miller know that Les Snead also just so happened to be at the bar that night as well. Just kidding.

In all seriousness, it's not hard to imagine McVay having this interaction with Miller and then remembering it years later when the Broncos star was on the table as a possible acquisition.

The Rams owe whoever that bartender was a healthy sum of money.
