The Baltimore Ravens were reportedly been in danger of having quarterback Lamar Jackson miss the first game of his career due to injury because of an ankle sprain.

However, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter, it wasn't an ankle sprain that the Ravens QB had been dealing with, but rather a bone bruise

Via Schefty:

Jackson suffered the injury early on in their Week 14 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens star was seen limping on the sidelines and eventually had to be carted off the field, igniting serious concerns among the Baltimore faithful.

Ankle sprain or bone bruise, it's certainly a lot better than a reality in which Lamar Jackson misses multiple weeks, or worse, just as the season winds to a close.

With a monumental matchup against the Green Bay Packers incoming, the Ravens' chase for the top seed in the AFC gets that much harder. But with a playoff seed firmly in hand, for now, making sure their QB is back at 100% should be the Ravens' top priority.

Baltimore is 8-5 on the season and sitting in first place in the AFC North. There are a lot of teams bunched up, though, so the hope is Jackson won't miss too much time after this game. He had only missed three games prior to this one in his career, with two due to illness and one for rest purposes at the end of a season.
