Ronnie Stanley is a key member of the Baltimore Ravens and he may have suffered a serious injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to the NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, Stanley was carted off of the field early in Sunday's AFC North battle.

In addition to being carted off of the field, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport shared that they placed an air cast on Stanley's leg immediately.

On the play that the injury occurred, Stanley was protecting the blindside of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. While pass protecting, the pressure from Pittsburgh's defense began to converge on Jackson, driving the offensive line into Jackson's face.

At the same time, Stanley seemingly had his leg rolled on and he was writhing in pain when the play concluded. The medical staff would tend to the offensive tackle and he was taken into the locker room after a pause in the game.

Earlier this week, the Ravens made Stanley one of the highest-paid offensive tackles in the NFL. The former first-round pick out of Notre Dame was given a five-year deal that contains a max value of $112.8 million.

Since coming into the NFL in 2016, Stanley has evolved into one of the best left tackles in the league. He's started in 62 games for Baltimore's offense and is crucial in the Ravens' offensive attack.

Even with the offense still finding their rhythm this season, the Ravens are one of the contenders in the AFC. While we await the severity of the injury, we hope Stanley is able to make a speedy recovery on whatever his ailment is.
