In an era where passing rules, the Baltimore Ravens are bucking the trend. In 2019, they stand as one of the NFL's best rushing offenses. Not of the year or decade, however — of all time.

During their Week 17  tilt with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Ravens broke the record for the most rushing yards in a 16-game NFL season, hitting 3,166 yards during the AFC North divisional bout.

The Ravens' productivity as a rushing offense should come as no surprise. They have a Pro Bowl running back in Mark Ingram, more than capable backups in Gus Edwards and Justice Hill and some guy named Lamar Jackson.

Jackson, a quarterback, has 1,206 rushing yards and seven ground touchdowns on the season, despite earning just 176 carries. His 6.9 yards per attempt stands as the most in the NFL.

The second-year Louisville product and former Heisman Trophy winner has put on a clinic as a dual-threat quarterback in 2019. He broke Michael Vick's single-season rushing record for a quarterback earlier in the season, which was set in 2006 with the Atlanta Falcons. Jackson is one of the best, or perhaps the best, rushing quarterback in NFL history.

Jackson did not play in Week 17, as the Ravens had nothing to play for.

Couple Jackson's dual-threat abilities with a powerful, big offensive line and productive running backs, and you have a rush attack that is nearly impossible to stop. A defense can't just key-in on Jackson. He will hand it off to one of the NFL's best running backs. They are a nightmare and the stats only prove it.
