The Washington Redskins have voiced their frustration with their inability to get a win streak going in the 2018 NFL season. However, running back Adrian Peterson feels they need to stay focused on the task at hand.
Washington got back into the win column in Week 6 with a victory over the Carolina Panthers. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Peterson says the Redskins need to take things one game at a time.
It is clear that Peterson's veteran leadership is showing. This is one of the many perks of bringing in the best running back of his generation. More importantly, there is certainly plenty of truth to his comments.
It is no secret that Washington has been extremely inconsistent all year. They recorded their best win of the season with a solid victory over the Green Bay Packers only to be dismantled by the New Orleans Saints coming out of the bye week. Their fluctuating performance has obviously started to take its toll on the players.
However, they have a good chance to finally get a win streak going against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7. Although the Cowboys are coming off an impressive win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, they too have struggled to maintain any kind of inconsistency.
