Washington Redskins running back Derrius Guice just can't seem to stay on the field.

Guice left his team's loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday due to a knee injury and was scheduled to have an MRI afterward, according to Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post.

“Right now, I’m just worried with where he’s at currently,” interim head coach Bill Callahan said. “Overall, it’s unfortunate that he’s been banged up and nicked up, but I’m just curious to see how he comes out of this game with whatever injury he sustained.”

The injury occurred during the second quarter when Guice was tackled awkwardly. He did not speak to reporters after the game, but was seen in the locker room without any noticeable discomfort.

Guice carried the ball five times for 42 yards before exiting.

The second-year back is no stranger to injuries.

Guice tore his ACL during the preseason of his rookie year, and after undergoing surgery, he developed an infection and he had to have three additional procedures. He then tore his meniscus in Week 1 of this season and underwent surgery once again.

So, obviously, there is a high level of concern whenever Guice sustains a knee injury.

The 22-year-old returned in Week 11 and had a breakout performance in Week 13, racking up 129 yards and couple of touchdowns off of just 10 attempts.

In five games this season overall, Guice has rushed for 245 yards and a pair of scores while averaging 5.8 yards per tote.

The Redskins are just 3-10 on the year and will battle the Philadelphia Eagles next weekend.
