Reggie Jackson was on fire Friday night for the Detroit Pistons, as he dropped 39 points during a a 112-99 win over the Washington Wizards to clinch a playoff spot for the Pistons in the Eastern Conference.

The Wizards simply could not contain the 5th year point guard out of Boston College, as Jackson was just one point shy of his career high in points. To go along with the 39 points, Jackson added 9 assists and 4 rebounds in just 34 minutes. Shooting an impressive 4-5 from the 3-point line, Jackson shot 70% from the field and was a perfect 7-7 from the charity stripe.

After spending the first three and a half seasons of his career as a backup to Russell Westbrook playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Jackson is having a career year with the Pistons. Reggie Jackson has proven that he can truly be a valuable starting point guard in the NBA. He has played in every single one of the Pistons' 79 games thus far this season and is averaging 18.8 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.2 rebounds over the course of the 2015-2016 campaign.
