The DLC for Resident Evil Village hasn't been out yet, but Resident Evil 4 Remake rumors are already abound.

Remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3 have been huge successes, so it only makes sense for Capcom to make another for one of the series' most popular entries. However, Capcom hasn't really announced that they're working on a Resident Evil 4 Remake yet. As far as we're concerned, what they're working on, as far as Resident Evil is concerned, is the much-requested Resident Evil Village DLC. Yet, it hasn't stopped the Resident Evil 4 Remake rumors to spread, and now there are big claims being made about this supposed remake title.

According to a report by Fanbyte, the Resident Evil 4 Remake will make use of the discarded demo of the original game. Fans would remember that a demo of Resident Evil 4 never came to fruition. This early build of RE4 was closer to its predecessors with the fixed camera angles, tank controls, and generally more horrific vibe. This is completely different from how RE4 that we ended up having – more action-oriented with an over-the-shoulder camera perspective.

While it would be a demake to completely go back to the state of the old RE4 demo, the Fanbyte report does say that the supposed remake will have a closer feel and themes to the discarded demo. That means more horror and less action, in general. There are also going to be other changes, the article claims, which include bigger roles for some side characters (more Luis, maybe?). If all goes well, Capcom might be able to finally announce the game this year and put all these rumors to rest.
