Former NBA player Robert Horry is now free of any legal issues concerning his involvement in an altercation with a coach back in August during a Nike Basketball 3ON3 Tournament in Los Angeles. This is according to TMZ Sports, which was also the first to report about the fight.

Robert Horry's off the hook for getting into a fistfight with another coach at his kid's basketball tournament … no charges will be brought against him.

It was also said on TMZ’s report that the Los Angeles City Attorney dismissed the case against Horry after reviewing the case and seeing that there were not enough evidence to prove the seven-time NBA champion’s guilt.

The coach earlier accused Robert Horry as the one who sparked the fight and that the former only shoved Horry as a way to protect himself. It was a completely different story than the one told by the former champion with the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, and San Antonio Spurs, who said that it was the coach who initiated the scuffle.

Whatever the truth is, the important thing for Horry is that he’s avoided jail time

Robert Horry played for 15 seasons in the NBA from 1992 to 2008, concluding his career with averages of 7.0 points and 4.8 rebounds in 1,107 total games. Most importantly, he was able to build himself a reputation as one of the best clutch shooters in league history.
