The Seattle Seahawks won't be participating in the playoffs this year, but they've played well against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 18. They've played well, but unfortunately, Seattle lost Quandre Diggs to a serious injury.
According to Gregg Bell, Quandre Diggs was carted off of the field after suffering a gruesome ankle injury late in the game. Many of his Seahawks' teammates were visibly upset as Diggs left the field with his foot completely wrapped up.
Diggs is in for an interesting offseason. He was about to enter an offseason healthy and focusing on improving his skill set for next year. Instead, the Seahawks cornerback will be going through surgery and extensive rehab before returning to the field. It's a rough scene for Quandre Diggs, as he's been an essential player for Seattle's defense this year.
Although the Seahawks' season is over, it'll be important to keep an eye on Quandre Diggs. Hopefully, he can make a quick recovery as Seattle will need him in the secondary next season. His timetable for return is up in the air for now, as Diggs will be monitored throughout the week.
With an injury such as the one Quandre Diggs suffered, there's a chance he doesn't play next year at all. Due to the injury happening in the final week of the regular season, the timing of it all is not in his favor. Regardless, we hope Diggs a quick recovery so he can continue his career in the NFL.
