However, the latest report from ESPN's Adam Schefter reveals there's some hope the injury won't take Wilson out for as long as initially expected. If all goes well, the Seahawks can get their signal-caller back within just four weeks.

The Seahawks and doctors agreed that a four-week timetable is a best-case scenario for Wilson, who suffered the injury in Thursday night's loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
Four weeks is still a long time, but it's certainly welcome news for Seattle. The Seahawks find themselves with a 2-3 record through Week 5, which puts them last in the loaded NFC West. Getting Russell Wilson back is imperative for them to be able to salvage the season, assuming backup Geno Smith is able to muster up a couple of wins in his stead.
Russell Wilson has been the definition of an ironman throughout his career before this latest setback. He had never missed a game in his first nine seasons with the Seahawks, playing in 149 straight contests before having that streak snapped next Sunday when he's on the sidelines against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
