In the last three seasons, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf had a front-row seat to watch Bobby Wagner continually take care of business on the defensive side of the ball.

Wagner accumulated a combined 467 tackles in his final three campaigns in Seattle, which also included 17 tackles for a loss. The eight-time Pro Bowler is not only well renowned for being one of the more versatile linebackers in the NFL today, but he has had a multitude of highlight-reel hard hits over the years.

For Metcalf, he wants to test out on just how much of a hard hitter the new Los Angeles Rams linebacker really is.

During an appearance on FOX Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast, Metcalf revealed that he is aiming to “run straight into” the Seahawks’ all-time leader in tackles over the upcoming season.

“He’s gonna have to see me,” Metcalf said. “He knows … Soon as I catch the ball, I'm going to run straight into him just to see how it feels to get tackled by Bobby Wagner.

“I played with him for the first three years and everybody is talking about ‘he hit hard.' I want to test it out.”

On Metcalf’s part, he has proven to be one of the more sheer tough receivers in the NFL today. Amid the numerous hard hits that he took on the field in his opening three seasons in the league, he did not miss a single regular season game.

All eyes sure will be on the first NFC West clash between the Seahawks and the Rams in the 2022 season.
