D.K. Metcalf was able to get things going for the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday as he left a few San Francisco 49ers defenders in the dust to award the Seahawks their first touchdown.
The Ole Miss product caught and ran in the touchdown for 46 yards.
Metcalf comes into Week 8 completing 24-of-44 targets for 519 yards along with five touchdowns. The second-year Seahawks receiver averaged 21.6 yards per receptions as well, placing him at first in the league amongst wideouts.
He's completed all five of his targets against the 49ers for 100 receiving yards, resulting in the one touchdown.
Russell Wilson has been exceptional through the first half, completing 13 of his 15 throws for 155 yards and two touchdowns.
As the Seahawks draw first blood against a hardy 49ers club, they'll look to maximize with that momentum on defense to keep the 49ers boxed in for the better half of the game. The Seahawks are currently 5-1 with their only loss coming at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7.
