The NBA’s City Edition jerseys are a slam dunk — for the most part. Nike and the NBA decided to make limited edition jerseys based on specific history relating to every team. Most of the jerseys are beloved by fans, but there are a few that fans can’t stand.

Regardless, the City Edition movement is a resounding success for the NBA and the jerseys have certainly spurred up excitement amongst fans. The NBA officially released the designs for all 30 City Edition jerseys.

As is expected, there are some must-have jerseys. The Denver Nuggets homage to the rainbow skyline jersey is one of the hottest releases of any jersey in recent memory. The Miami Vice jerseys are a necessity for any Heat fans. These are two of the definite standouts for their in-your-face design.

The Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics have excellent designs of their own, yet they employ far more simple designs. The Nets use Coogi-style trim to pay homage to legendary Brooklyn rapper Biggie Smalls. The Celtics, on the other hand, use gold borders on the names and numbers to form a clean look. These two jerseys are proof that a City Edition doesn’t need to be overly complex to be successful.

If you’re a fan of the NBA, chances are there is at least one City Edition jersey that you’ve gotta have. There are a few jerseys that fell short, but there are a few must-haves for your wardrobe.
