Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons have all but passed the point of no return. Both Philadelphia 76ers stars have spoken up against one another and seem more than ready to move on.

Embiid's recent comments on new Sixers teammate Andre Drummond might not please Ben Simmons too much, either. The superstar center spoke out on Drummond, making specific mention of his horrific free throw shooting and how he's overcome it with hard work.

Via Ky Carlin of Sixers Wire:

“As far as Andre, we know what he is,” the Sixers star said. “A great rebounder. He’s got great hands. He can pass the ball, and we’re challenging him to get to the free-throw line and make more, especially over the years he’s gotten better, but as we know a couple years ago, he was a bad one. Through hard work, he’s gotten better so that’s great.”

Embiid has had to endure many in-game instances where his Sixers had to actively avoid getting Ben Simmons to the free-throw line. The shade may not have been direct, but there's a good chance Jojo knew what he was doing.

What's more is that Andre Drummond has actually plateaued in his free-throw shooting over the last four years. He's shot a sub-60% mark from the stripe in those seasons total and actually shot worse than Ben Simmons did for the Sixers in that same span. It's a bit of a stretch to say that he's been hard at work to get better when he's virtually been the exact same as Simmons has.
