Ben Simmons remains a member of the Philadelphia 76ers organization and practically no one is happy about it, including the disgruntled Sixers star. However, Daryl Morey remains adamant about getting a hefty return for Simmons and it appears he still isn't giving up his dreams of acquiring Damian Lillard or Bradley Beal.

Via The Athletic:

Still, sources say the Sixers — who have been on the lookout for an All-Star in return for Simmons for so long now — have continued to ask for a massive haul in return while frustrating some suitors along the way. As such, some team executives remain convinced that Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey is still waiting for Portland’s Damian Lillard or Washington’s Bradley Beal to be made available down the line (i.e. this summer at the earliest).

It remains to be seen if Beal or Lillard will even be available, but the Sixers president is clearly not willing to trade Simmons for anything less than a superstar. This saga has gone on for far too long though, with the Philly fans absolutely fed up at this point. The likelihood of Simmons playing for the franchise ever again seems very unlikely and although there has been a belief that he could be moved by the February trade deadline, this latest rumor says different.

The fiasco goes on.
