The Chicago Sky are thrilled to have rookie Angle Reese on the team. Reese is becoming one of the most popular players in the WNBA and is having an impressive rookie campaign. She recently drew some eyeballs for making an appearance at one future NBA player's draft party.

Angel Reese made an appearance at last nights 2024 NBA Draft. She showed up for Terrence Shannon Jr.'s draft party to celebrate with Shannon Jr. and his family and friends. Reese was seen greeting Shannon Jr. alongside Brad Underwood and Chris Beard in a viral video.

Terrence Shannon Jr. was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 27th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Shannon Jr. played his final two seasons of college basketball at the University of Illinois. He averaged 23 points and four rebounds per game in his final season with the Fighting Illini. The Minnesota Timberwolves are expected to make a serious push for the NBA Finals next season, and it will be exciting to see if Shannon Jr. plays a big role on the team moving forward.

Reese's presence has caused a buzz on social media, causing fans to speculate about the possibility that the two are dating. There is nothing definitive or confirmed surrounding the situation, so it is simply a rumor for now.

Reese was rumored to have been seen with rapper G Herbo recently as well. However, this has not been officially confirmed due to the poor video quality and awkward camera angles of the video in question.

WNBA fans just cannot get enough Angel Reese in their lives.

UConn head coach Geno Auriemma has strong message for WNBA vets about Caitlin Clark, Sky rookie Angel Reese

One of the reasons why Angel Reese is becoming so popular is because of the media coverage surrounding her.

Reese and the Chicago Sky have a budding rivalry with fellow rookie Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. This has fueled numerous headlines and made her and Clark one of the main storylines in the W this season.

The pair of rookies have also received some negative attention from some WNBA fans and veteran players over the past few months. Some players do not appreciate the narrative that this year's rookie class, particularly Caitlin Clark, are solely responsible for the WNBA's increased popularity.

University of Connecticut women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma recently spoke out in defense of Reese and Clark.

“[Caitlin] and Angel Reese are not the two best players in the WNBA, but they're the two most talked about players in the WNBA right now,” Geno Auriemma said, via @VanshayM on Twitter/X. “If you're some of those players, going back to your question, you can moan and groan about why weren't they talking about me when I was here, well, or you can just appreciate what it is and take advantage of it now. But at some point it's always going to be about the game. It's not going to be about all the other stuff off the court and all the other extracurricular stuff that goes on. At some point, all of them are going to have to be really, really good.”

It is good to see coach Auriemma stick up for Clark and Reese. He is right that winning on the court should silence their critics.

Angel Reese fans won't have to wait long to see their girl in action again. The Chicago Sky take on the Las Vegas Aces tonight at 7PM ET.
