The two most recent South Park video games have been really good RPG games. It won't be surprising if fans of the animated TV show would want more. If plans by creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are to be followed, a third game will indeed be coming eventually. This time, Stone and Parker aim to bring the game to the third dimension.

Unfortunately, that's everything we know right now about the new South Park 3D video game. Stone and Parker only talked about it in passing, after all. The reason behind this new project is pretty mundane – the creators have a lot of cash to burn, and they have projects and investments in mind already with their large quantity of wealth.

To provide a bit of background, the South Park creators received a $900 million deal with network ViacomCBS to continue creating more episodes of South Park for the next six years. Apart from continuing the show, ViacomCBS also wants the duo to expand the universe, which includes the game, among other things. This is one of the most lucrative deals in TV history, Bloomberg notes.

South Park currently has 309 episodes stretched across 23 seasons. The show has been around for almost 25 years now, so what's another six years for the duo? Even though the series is two and a half decades old already, the show still manages to stay relevant. South Park remains to be one of the most popular TV shows right now. ViacomCBS's $900 million offering might just be justified by the show's popularity and infamy.
