San Antonio Spurs shooting guard DeMar DeRozan isn't happy about his ESPN ranking.

The popular sports website ranked DeRozan as the 82nd-best player in the NBA for the 2020-21 season. Upon seeing his ranking, the Spurs star took to Twitter to call out ESPN:

While this rating doesn't really reflect it, DeMar DeRozan is still one of the top guards in the NBA. He averaged 22.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game for the Spurs last season while shooting 53.1 percent from the field, 25.7 percent from beyond the arc and 84.5 percent from the charity stripe.

Despite DeRozan's stellar numbers, the Spurs missed the playoffs in 2019-20 for the first time since 1996-97. Power forward LaMarcus Aldridge didn't play in the bubble games due to a shoulder injury. He stayed back in San Antonio while the team was at Disney World and rehabbed his shoulder with Spurs legend Tim Duncan, who no longer is an assistant coach on Gregg Popovich's staff.

DeRozan picked up his hefty player option with the Spurs for the 2020-21 season. He'll become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason of 2021 unless San Antonio signs him to a contract extension during the 2020-21 season.

It's safe to say DeRozan has a lot of motivation for the upcoming 2020-21 NBA season. Not only did ESPN piss him off, but the former Toronto Raptors guard has to perform well in a contract year so he can get paid as an unrestricted free agent.
