The San Antonio Spurs gutted out a crucial 120-103 win over the Denver Nuggets at home to force a Game 7. LaMarcus Aldridge, who led the way with a team-high 26 points and 10 rebounds, noted the team needed no other motivation than to keep hopes alive for a potential Game 7.

“It was a win-or-go-home type of thing tonight,” said LaMarcus Aldridge, also dishes out five assists in the win, according to Jabari Young of The Athletic. “Our guys brought it. We competed and tried to give ourselves a chance, and we did.”

“Game 6 of the playoffs,” point guard Patrick Mills added. “You don’t need any more motivation than that to be able to show grit and determination.”

The Spurs showed that grit and determination that Mills talked about, always keeping up with Denver's runs and staying disciplined throughout several spurts, able to contain a career-night from Nikola Jokic, who fell an assist shy of a massive triple-double.

Jokic's 43 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists were the catalyst for the Nuggets, who just couldn't muster enough offense in the fourth to take the series.

The Spurs outscored the Nuggets 30-18 in the final period, putting the finishing touches on a brilliant offensive night in which every starter shot above 50%, a blistering 57.1% from the field, and 41.7% from deep.

Aldridge and company will now have to answer the real test in a Game 7 on the road, as they prepare for a do-or-die encounter on Sunday, with the possibility of causing the first upset in the first round of the playoffs if they effectively take down the second-seeded Nuggets.
