With Ben Roethlisberger gone, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster could be looking to leave the Pittsburgh Steelers for another team in free agency.

The wideout out of USC has an expiring contract after signing a one-year deal with the Steelers back in March 2021, and seemed to drop a hint on his free agency plans when he spoke to the media recently after shooting a commercial in Dallas Cowboys facility, where he also caught some passes from quarterback Dak Prescott. When asked about the possibility of signing with the Cowboys, the Steelers' 2017 second-round draft pick gave the reporters some bones to chew on.

Via Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News:

“He’s a great quarterback,” Smith-Schuster said. “Catching balls from him in a facility like this, I wouldn’t mind it. He has some good guys around him, a great team, a great organization. So you never know.”

Smith-Schuster appeared in just five games in the 2021 NFL regular season because of a shoulder injury and surgery but was able to return to the field in the playoffs, albeit for only a game, as the Steelers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card round.

The Cowboys had a high-powered offense in 2021, finishing the regular season tops in scoring with 30.4 points per game. However, they could be losing some of their downfield weapons soon with Cedrick Wilson and Michael Gallup due to hit free agency.
