Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher is a name that will get varying levels of reactions from fans in the NFL. Now, there's one more thing that can be added to their discussions about the coach: his inclusion to the 2020 Hall of Fame Class.

The 62-year-old coach-turned-analyst was surprised by his colleagues at CBS during their weekly show, and the NFL was more than happy to share the moment with the fans who witnessed the man lead the Steelers through fifteen long years of sustained success.

It was visible in Cowher's expression that he was surprised and happy to be selected, and the waterworks seemed to quickly fall down. His wife and daughter were there with him to celebrate this incredible moment in his career.

After hugging it out with some people, Cowher then gave a speech about his thoughts and reflections on how his career has gone. He also had a message for his fellow Hall of Fame candidates.

“Eight candidates: every one of you deserve[s] to be there. Football is a total team sport. I've had some great players, some great coaches, the best organization in football. I've lived the best life… and to have to give back something to the game of football, it's been a part of my life. The virtues that it teaches you, morals that you have the obligation to move on, the platforms that we have. I'm a blessed man, and I've been very blessed to be surrounded by very special people.”

Bill Cowher spent fifteen years with the Steelers, the team he followed in his boyhood. He won 149 of the 240 games he was in charge of, and he has two AFC Championships and a Super Bowl under his impressive resume.
