In the Western Conference Finals matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors, the word dirty has been thrown around quite a bit.

It was once again prevalent following the Warriors' convincing 120-108 win over the Spurs in Game 3 after Stephen Curry voiced his displeasure with the type of screens that Spurs' big man Dewayne Dedmon sets during the game calling them a dirty play, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN.com.

“I know he’s not a dirty player. I’m not going to try to mess up his reputation, but I feel like that was a dirty play,” Curry said. “Luckily no one was hurt.”

The particular play in question for Curry came late in the fourth quarter of Game 3 with just over four minutes left as Dedmon was seen setting a hard screen on the two-time league MVP where he used his left knee to take a little jab at the Warriors guard's left knee.

Dedmon did not receive a foul on the play and the league isn't expected to take any disciplinary action against him moving forward.

It is quite evident that Dedmon did go a little beyond setting a typical screen by targeting Curry's leg. Be it frustration with how the series has unfolded through the first three games or possible disdain for Curry, the veteran big man had some ill-intent with his action.

Ultimately, what this may all lead to is more attention being paid toward the expected increase in physicality and chippiness on the court if these type of plays continue.
