Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns started their season off with an Opening Night win over the Golden State Warriors. Not only did the Suns come away victorious, but Booker etched his name in Phoenix's record books with red ink.

In the Suns 108-104 victory, Booker dropped 30 points, eight rebounds and six assistants. He joined Charles Barkley as the only other player in Phoenix's Opening Night history to score 30+ points twice, via the team's X account.

Much has been made of the Suns' trades for Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. Under new owner Matt Ishibia, Phoenix has proven that they're determined to make a run to the NBA Finals. But for all the flash Durant and Beal bring, Booker still has plenty of flash in his bag.

On Opening Night, Booker proved that he is fully capable of leading the team. Beal didn't even play as he was dealing with a back injury. Durant scored 18, but he shot just seven-of-22 from the field. Booker's +5 was the highest amongst the team's starters.

Earning a win against the Warriors in no easy task. They were dealing with injuries in their own right, as Draymond Green didn't play. However, Booker and the Suns were still able to take advantage and begin their season undefeated.

Charles Barkley is one of the names most synonymous with the Suns. With the way Booker has been playing, he has continued to immortalize himself in Phoenix lore. While a historic Opening Night is one thing, the Suns are looking for Booker to be an electric scorer throughout the entire season.
