Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James made sure to give Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul some well-deserved recognition after his latest historic feat in the NBA.

Paul finished the season as the league's assist leader, averaging 10.8 dimes per game for a slight lead over James Harden who finished at 10.3. The Suns playmaker almost snatched the steals championship as well, finishing second at 1.9 while Dejounte Murray took home the honor with 2.0.

Still, what Paul accomplished at his age-36 season while helping the Suns finish with the best record in the NBA is worthy of admiration. After all, he is only the sixth player in NBA history to have at least five assist titles. Further, he is the only player player with such number of assist championships alongside five or more steal titles.

James, for his part, congratulated his good friend on Instagram and shared how “tough” it is to reach such feat.

True enough, Chris Paul has been really incredible for the Suns since his arrival in 2020-21. Now, he has the team as legitimate championship contenders with a real shot at winning it all.

More than his individual accolades, his winning impact on the Suns is just as worthy of praise and admiration. Without him, it would have been hard for Devin Booker and the rest of the team to really turn things around.

LeBron James himself, as someone who has carried tons of teams before, will know how difficult it is to turn a losing franchise into a winning one in just a short amount of time. CP3, however, did it and continues to impress with his play.
