Latest San Francisco 49ers Buzz

49ers are listing Purdy with toe/shoulder injuries, but he said today the shoulder is no longer an issue.

For the second straight day today, the 49ers listed QB Brock Purdy as a limited participant in practice due to his toe and left shoulder injuries.

49ers practice report: Brock Purdy and Trent Williams were limited, Christian McCaffrey was full go. Jordan Watkins, not on the injury report Wednesday, was on it on Thursday. Apparently, he suffered a calf injury today.

Only two #49ers players did not participate in practice on Thursday - Jauan Jennings and Spencer Burford:

Indeed, Williams wound up as a limited participant in practice. That's how it looked like it would shape up as we left the field today. Only new addition to injury report is WR Jordan Watkins, who was listed as limited with a calf.

#49ers Thursday participation report: DNP - WR Jauan Jennings (shoulder, ankle), OL Spencer Burford (knee) Limited - QB Brock Purdy (toe), OT Trent Williams (knee), DL Yetur Gross-Matos (knee), FB Kyle Juszczyk (concussion), DB Siran Neal (concussion), WR Jordan Watkins (calf)

Brock Purdy said he'll be a game-time decision.

#49ers QB Brock Purdy on his availability for Sunday: "Just got to see come game time how I feel. Obviously, I want to play every game. I want to be out there. You only get 17 regular season games and every game matters, especially a divisional (game) going against Cardinals. So if you ask me, I'd love to, but I mean I'm trying to be smart with my body here, but you never know. We'll see when the game comes"

More Brock Purdy on his first toe injury: "Definitely got to see come game time how I feel. Obviously I want to play every game, dude. ... If you ask’d me, I’d love to but I’m trying to be smart with my body." Sounds like this will be a Sunday noon decision

Brock Purdy said his toe injury is a day-to-day issue. "I'm happy with the progress I've been making with my foot, my toe." ... "Gotta see at game time how I feel."

Brock Purdy after 2nd straight practice: "Been a day to day thing. I'm happy with the progress I’m making with my foot and toe. It’s a day to day thing with how I feel."

49ers GM Lynch on Brock Purdy (to @KNBR) "It was encouraging to see him practice. He was limited yesterday. He got out there and had some activity. Everyone saw that. The key now is: how does he respond to that? We’ll find that out later today to see if he can get back out there"

From @GMFB: The #Jets will start QB Tyrod Taylor, #49ers QB Brock Purdy was able to practice on a limited basis, plus #Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle will test his shoulder pregame, but there is optimism he plays.
