Height is mighty even in the WWE. Given that wrestling is physical, having a valuable asset like height certainly holds a lot of advantages. Over the years, we’ve witnessed a handful of giants lay waste to the WWE locker room. In fact, a handful of them would even go on to become world champions and carve out Hall of Fame careers. For this piece, let’s take a look at the 10 tallest wrestlers in the WWE.
10. Nathan Jones
Height: 6’11 (2.11 m)
At 6’11 and over 300 lbs, Nathan Jones was a physical specimen who had the potential to succeed in the WWE. In fact, it also helped that he had a background in powerlifting and MMA which all the more hyped his signing with the WWE. But unfortunately, Jones’ WWE career was a bust. Although he earned some victories over jobbers, Jones’ character would never take off. In fact, screen time with The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar couldn’t save his disappointing WWE career.
9. Kane
Height: 7’0 (2.13 m)
Known as ½ of the Brothers of Destruction, Kane had a monstrous WWE debut that saw him target The Undertaker. The Big Red Monster has also carved out a Hall of Fame-worthy career that saw him win three World Championships. Although Kane never won a Royal Rumble, at one point, he held the record for most eliminations with 11 in 2001.
8. Shanky
Height: 7’0 (2.13 m)
Hailing from India, Shanky towers over a lot of wrestlers in the WWE locker room. However, that has yet to translate in the WWE. Unlike other giants, Shanky wasn’t wreaking havoc through the main roster. Instead, he was booked alongside Jinder Mahal and Veer Mahaan. Furthermore, Shanky was booked more for comedic relief, as he gets more attention for dancing than his accomplishments in the squared circle.
7. Big Show
Height: 7’0 (2.13 m)
The Big Show is dubbed as The World’s Largest Athlete and there’s no question that he is a brute force. In fact, the Big Show was so dominant in the WWE that he has held 23 championship belts in his career. Moreover, The Big Show has also earned victories over Mark Henry, Ric Flair, Sheamus, and many more. He is also a winner of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2015.
6. The Great Khali
Height: 7’1 (2.15 m)
Like Shanky, The Great Khali was also from India. The 7’1 giant, however, wrecked through the WWE locker room. He carved out an undefeated streak, earning victories over the likes of The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, and John Cena. But more importantly, Khali even emerged as a World Heavyweight Champion after eliminating Kane and Batista in a battle royal rumble for the vacated championship. Moreover, Khali was also inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021.
5. The Yeti/The Super Giant Ninja/Reese
Height: 7’2 (2.18 m)
The Yeti made an impactful entrance to the WWE when he debuted as The Yeti in Halloween Havoc 1995. With Big Show locking Hulk Hogan in a Bear Hug submission, The Yeti stormed to the ring and seemingly dwarfed The Big Show to join him in attacking the Hulkster. But despite an explosive debut and an imposing presence, The Yeti would never last. In fact, he would undergo several name changes and repackages that never really saw success in the WWE.
4. Giant Silva
Height: 7’2 (2.18 m)
Giant Silva’s wrestling career was short-lived. However, due to his frame, it was hard for him to go unnoticed. Giant Silva entered the WWE with the Human Oddities alongside fellow giants Kurrgan and Golga. While he did earn a victory in the 1998 Summerslam, Giant Silva’s career wouldn’t last long after 1999.
3. Omos
Height: 7’3 (2.21 m)
Standing at 7’3, there’s no doubt that Omos is the tallest active WWE wrestler today. With great size, the WWE is slowly grooming him to become the next big monster. In fact, The Undertaker even claimed that Omos is the closest WWE ever got in finding the next Andre the Giant. Thus far, Omos has only taken a few losses, with two of them to top stars Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman. Otherwise, Omos has dominated other wrestlers and even earned a Tag Team championship reign with AJ Styles during the early stages of his WWE run.
2. Andre the Giant
Height: 7’4 (2.24 m)
When it comes to wrestling giants, Andre the Giant is arguably the best that WWE has ever produced. During his peak, Andre had spectacular skills and agility for his size as he terrorized the WWE locker room. In fact, the 7’4 giant carved out a 121-23 win-loss card in the WWE. Furthermore, Andre is also a one-time World Champion and a Tag Team Champion.
1. Giant Gonzales
Height: 8’0 (2.44 m)
If one can tower over The Undertaker, Kane, The Big Show, and even Andre the Giant, you are arguably the tallest wrestler in the WWE. At 8’0 tall, there was no question that Giant Gonzalez was in a class of his own when it came to size.
Unfortunately, with not much wrestling skills to show for, Gonzalez’ WWE career only lasted briefly. In fact, the writing was on the wall after he suffered a string of losses to The Undertaker with no victory to show for against The Phenom. Gonzalez’ last appearance on WWE programming saw him get eliminated first in a 20-man battle royal for the Intercontinental Championship.
