With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Week 8 matchup being against the New Orleans Saints, we'll be witnessing a highly anticipated NFC South showdown on Sunday. Everything is on the line for this one, as both teams are in the midst of the playoff race. We'll be evaluating this Buccaneers-Saints game with some of our Buccaneers Week 8 predictions in mind.

This is a prime opportunity for New Orleans to improve their passing attack. The Bucs have struggled throughout the season in pass coverage. However, the Saints haven't quite aired it out as they used to. For that reason, we could see the Bucs take advantage of the Saints' porous offense.

Whenever the Bucs have the ball is when the fireworks will be on full display. New Orleans has a decent defense that could cause mayhem for Tampa Bay. Even so, the Bucs are one of the best teams in the league for a reason. We should see the run game in full effect, while the receivers take advantage of the mismatches. Meanwhile, Tom Brady is bound to do Tom Brady things.

With that said, here are four bold Buccaneers Week 8 predictions for their game against the Saints.

Buccaneers Week 8 Predictions

4. Bucs defense shuts out the Saints

As of right now, the only consistent weapon the Saints have is Alvin Kamara. Unfortunately for him, he's a running back and the Bucs thrive in stuffing the run game. Kamara is extremely active in the Saints' passing scheme though, but that's likely how he'll gain most of his production in this matchup.

Even so, Tampa Bay isn't the best at stopping the pass. Jameis Winston is known to let it fly and he'll be looking to torch the Bucs in a revenge game. Shutting the Saints completely out is a tough task, but it's not outside the realm of possibilities.

3. Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones have their way on Sunday.

Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones have been the perfect example of efficiency over the last few weeks. It's given the Buccaneers some consistency in the rushing game, alleviating pressure off of Tom Brady. Look for these two to chip away at the Saints' defense and open up the big play opportunities for the Bucs.

2. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin repeat their Week 7 performances

These two dominated in Week 7 against the Chicago Bears and they're in line to have another big performance. Antonio Brown has already been ruled out and it's looking like Rob Gronkowski is in the same boat. For that reason, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin should be able to take advantage of the Saints' secondary.

New Orleans has a much better defense than the Bears though, so it's not like Evans and Godwin have a cake-walk on Sunday. Even so, Brady can spread the ball around, helping his teammates make a play.

1. Tom Brady lights up the field for 350+ passing yards and 4+ touchdowns

This is a difficult task as New Orleans has a solid defense and Tom Brady didn't come close to 350 passing yards against Chicago. Either way, we should see the GOAT have a solid performance, as the Buccaneers look to separate themselves from a divisional rival.
