With the Tennessee Titans Week 8 matchup being against the Indianapolis Colts, we'll have the pleasure of watching a crucial AFC South showdown. This is a big moment for this franchise, as a win on Sunday gives Tennessee a nice lead ahead of their rivals. It's why we're taking a look at this Titans-Colts game with some Titans Week 8 predictions in mind.

The defensive unit has been less than average for quite some time. However, in the last two weeks, they've played like one of the best in the league. After slowing down the Buffalo Bills and shutting down the Kansas City Chiefs, the Titans' defense is beyond confident in themselves.

Although the Colts' defense has looked stout, Tennessee's offense might prove to be too much to handle. Derrick Henry has had his way with Indianapolis in his last four matchups against them. He should continue that trend on Sunday. Additionally, this could be the game we see the passing game break out. Ryan Tannehill should put on another spectacular performance, while Julio Jones could finally establish his role on the offense.

With that said, here are four Titans Week 8 bold predictions for their game against the Colts.

Titans Week 8 Predictions

4. Titans defense completely shuts down Indianapolis

Tennessee displayed the perfect example of the “bend but don't break” mantra in their game against the Bills. They stepped up when they needed to and that momentum carried over to the Chiefs. After dominating Kansas City, this Titans defense will be chomping at the bit to play Indy.

The Titans pass rush has vastly improved and the emergence of David Long Jr. has provided a boost in the front seven. This is going to be a tough game, but Tennessee should be able to contain the Colts throughout this matchup.

3. Derrick Henry continues his 100-yard streak against the Colts

He's had four straight games against the Colts where he's ran for over 100 rushing yards. It's the longest active streak in the Frank Reich era. Even though Indianapolis has an impressive front seven themselves, they just can't find a way to slow down Derrick Henry.

The King has played like a monster this season and there's no reason to believe he'll slow down anytime soon. Look for Indianapolis to sell out on stopping the run, which will likely lead to them giving up big plays through the air. By the fourth quarter, Indy's defense won't know what to do and King Henry will have his way.

2. Ryan Tannehill throws for 300 yards and 4 touchdowns

Ryan Tannehill looked phenomenal the last few weeks as the team seems to be coming together lately. Much of the credit goes to Derrick Henry, but it's not like Tannehill is playing like an average quarterback either. Indianapolis has struggled to stop the pass, which bodes well for Tannehill's chances on Sunday.

1. Julio Jones erupts for 125+ yards and 2 touchdowns

It's been a slow start for Julio Jones so far, but now that AJ Brown has gotten back into rhythm, it's time for Jones to do so as well. The Colts are likely to focus on Henry and Brown, as those two have been eating opposing defenses alive the last two games. For that reason, Julio Jones could be in a situation where he takes advantage of some favorable matchups.
