Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien announces news that no fan wants to hear right now concerning one of the most dangerous defensive players in the NFL.

From the lips of the Texans sideline boss himself, O'Brien, Jadeveon Clowney won't participate the rest of the way at OTAs, via James Palmer of the NFL Network.

“Bill O’Brien told me he doesn’t see Jadeveon Clowney (knee) participating in OTAs. Said it will be most likely training camp when he hits the field. He’s been at the facility rehabbing.”

Clowney, 25, is a demon along any NFL edge.

A year ago, he tallied 9.5 sacks and 41 tackles in his second-straight Pro Bowl season. In 2016, he picked up six sacks to go along with 40 tackles. He's also added three rumble recoveries, three forced fumbles and four total passes defensed over the last two seasons.

It's been a major difference compared to his first two seasons in the league in which disappointment was the only accurate description and, mainly, it could be attributed to injuries, the very same issue rearing its ugly head at the very moment.

Clowney suited up for just four games during his rookies season and missed three games in 2015. Now, sitting out for the remainder of OTAs, he's dealing with knee injury.

With J.J. Watt en route to returning after two wasted injury-prone seasons, the last thing in the world this Houston club needs is Jadeveon Clowney on the shelf.
